Pizza Hut’s decision to revamp its menu hasn’t translated into the increased sales that the company had hoped for, but at a month and a half in, it’s hard to call them a total failure.
Last November saw Pizza Hut revamp its menu with new crusts, new sauces, new fresh ingredients, and an assortment of themed pizzas.
While 2015 is another year, the first month of the menu didn’t exactly bring in customers. Sales remained flat in the fourth quarter, even though the customers who did show up were quite happy.
“While the initial relaunch of the Pizza Hut brand in the U.S. did not deliver the sales lift we expected, consumers have responded positively to the new menu and we intend to leverage this more effectively going forward,”
So the news isn’t all bad. Still, Pizza Hut’s new menu offers things you don’t find at other pizzerias, especially at the likes of Papa Johns or Little Caesar’s.
We’ll see how 2015 treats the new Pizza Hut menu.
